I am Anwesha, an PhD researcher at the University of Warwick, UK. I study compact binary white dwarf stars (AM CVns), cataclysmic variable stars (CVs), accretion physics, and transients. My specialisation is radio astronomy observations of accreting white dwarf systems and data reduction using the VLA and MeerKAT.
My intellectual journey was ignited by a simple question in my mid-teenage years - why does the universe bother to exist and how did it really begin? I do not know whether I will get the answers I am seeking but I have attempted to chronicle my journey in searching for answers as it is my belief that this journey is as exciting as the destination, and I want to share my excitement with you! This is what Sitara Tales means to me.
Sitara Tales is a result of three key ingredients: the COVID-19 pandemic which thrust most of the world into lockdown, Mama inspiring me to utilise this time wisely, and my never-ending passion of sharing my knowledge of physics.
